Remember when I was trying to convince my family to have a vegan Christmas? Well, we’ve decided* to go with a Christmas Around the World theme to satisfy everyone’s taste buds (there are only 4 of us, but wow do we have different tastes)!
So far we have, er, three main courses and nothing else. The menu as of now is:
- Mexican: tamales (Viva Vegan)
- Italian: lasagne
- Polish: haluski (Vegan on the Cheap)
We need some green side dishes for sure! Some sort of awesome salad. Greek salad? My mom really likes those when she gets them at Musikfest! I’ll ask her when she gets home from work. For dessert there’ll be lots of cookies! I’m making candy cane chocolate chip cookies from The Vegan Cookie Connoisseur, I’ve made them before and they are amazing! I’m also going to try veganizing my grandmother’s sugar cookies with anise icing, which she used to send us every year for Christmas.
In other news, I realize I haven’t updated this blog since MoFo ended, but I hope to do so more often… especially once winter break starts (1 more week, hooray)! Also, stay tuned for a mini blog-makeover hopefully coming soon (as soon as I get around to it)!
*We didn’t so much say “hey, let’s do Christmas from Around the World,” it just happened that way so we’re going with it.
